How a free service pays its bills — stated in plain sentences, on purpose.

The Plain Version

Vader Mountain Capital is compensated by participating lenders and network partners when borrowers connect with them through this site — that compensation is how a free-to-borrowers service pays its bills, and this page explains exactly how it works and what it does not influence.

How Compensation Works

When you submit a request and a lender in the network engages with it, that lender or an intermediate network partner may pay us for the connection. Compensation varies by lender and arrangement. This structure is standard across loan connection services; what varies between services is disclosure, and we prefer ours in plain sentences on a linked page rather than in a footnote nobody finds.

What Compensation Does Not Influence

Compensation does not determine whether any lender receives your request (state licensing and lender criteria do), does not shape the content of our educational guides, and does not buy placement in our lender comparison — which profiles network participants and non-participants by identical rules and contains no outbound links at all. No lender reviews or approves our content before publication.

What This Means for You

The service costs you nothing, and no fee is ever passed to you disguised or otherwise. Your obligation, if you accept an offer, is defined entirely by that lender's agreement — our compensation is a separate transaction between businesses. If the structure raises questions, we answer them at [email protected], and the about page describes the editorial standards the structure funds.
